“White Lines” (2020) – Created by Álex Pina, the mastermind behind “Money Heist,” this Netflix series follows a woman who travels to Ibiza to investigate the mysterious death of her brother, leading her on a journey of discovery that takes her to Portugal. Filmed on location in Lisbon and the Algarve, the series offers stunning views of the city’s iconic landmarks and the Algarve’s stunning coastline.
“The Time in Between” (2014) – This series is an adaptation of the book by Maria Dueñas in which Portugal has also starred in great scenes, especially in the last episodes. It takes you to Estoril, which in the past it was the resting place of many wealthy families in Europe. It even became known as the “Portuguese Riviera”. Also to Lisbon, where Sira, the main character, tries to find out the plans of the Germans. Through the restaurants and nightclubs we discover the Portugal of the 1940s.
“Into the Night” (2020-present) – This Belgian apocalyptic thriller series follows a group of passengers who are hijacked on a red-eye flight from Brussels to Moscow and must outrun the sun to survive. Several scenes from the second season were filmed in Portugal, including Lisbon and the Algarve, showcasing the country’s stunning landscapes and urban settings.
